Nurse Practitioners in Australia can assess, diagnose, design, implement and monitor treatment regimes, prescribe medications and adjunctive therapies, and can refer if required to other health care practitioners. Nurse Practitioners have expert knowledge in their chosen field (mine happens to be Dermatology).

During an appointment with a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner a detailed health history will be taken, discuss and educate patients on their diagnosis, plan a holistic approach to manage their skin diagnosis (skin care, skin hygiene, supplements, medications, gut and liver health, physical therapies, diet and exercise) and perform regular follow-ups to monitor care.

A Dermal Clinician specialises in the management of acute and chronic skin concerns and educates patients on the non-surgical interventions and treatment plans.

During a consultation with a Dermal Clinician a detailed health history will be taken and a holistic skin care treatment plan will be created to ensure skin care, skin hygiene, supplementation, skin treatments are involved in a patients treatment plan.

Skinfluence Clinic offers bespoke skin care to all our patients. Our diverse team of Dermal Clinicians, Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioners enables patients to receive accessible skin care. All our clinicians provide education on skin care, skin hygiene, supplementation, gut and liver health, physical therapies, diet and exercise.

All treatments performed at Skinfluence Clinic require a consultation first which is why we don’t offer treatments the same day as a consultation. A consultation enables your Skinfluencer to assess your skin, discuss your medical history, your previous skin treatments and skin care regime and also provide you with the information to consider treatment.
